Well-
Dear blog-
I have been guilty of the sin of omission.
Not writing.
For months.
And what is the reason?
There is no reason. Except that I haven’t wanted to. Haven’t felt like it. Haven’t had anything to say.
Life has gone on.
Time has passed and the building, the rhythm-and-meditation-and-dance-and-art temple is now open for business. It is beautiful and healing in this space!
The weather has changed. It is now something like summer.
My left arm has healed, thank god.
Now my ears are ring, and I am getting older, but so what? Am I complaining?
No, I am not.
My mom had 8 pat phrases towards the end of her life that would allow her to feel that she was contributing something to a conversation–even though she really was losing her grip on where and when she was at any given time.
One of those phrases was: Every day is blessing. That’s where I am now.
Will write more soon.
Love, Zorina

Hello Zorina-
So sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. It’s an emotionally charged time and can take lots of self-love, self-forgiveness and patience to navigate the waters – one day at a time.
The new studio looks awesome! Love the colors.
Do you have any plans to come to the bay area again? Let me know – would love to see you and drum together again.
Be well,
Mary

So GOOD to hear from you! I’ve gotten so far behind, behind myself! really, and so, haven’t written a note to you about your mother. And I will. Til then, my thoughts and virtual hugs to you – you couldn’t have been in a more peaceful and nurturing place, Bali, to receive this change in your life, and with your ever-lovin hubby. I loved your ‘tribute’ to her – our mothers! Egads! So many emotions, all jumbled together, and you expressed them so cleanly and real.
I’m not on Facebook, so this is only way I know to contact you (besides USPS). I’ve had ringing in ear for 20 years – things could be worse….so far it doesn’t interfere with the wheels in my head!
I imagine it’s gorgeous up where you are.
Keep up your blog, even to say nothing…..
Love, Suzanne
